The motherly gift of life that the rivers of our land give us, was a gift from the creator spirits in the time of creation,The Dreamtime.Allowing life to stretch across the land for thousands, Riverwater flowing carries the memories and the spirit of everything it has touched, it flows through the land, people,the trees in the forest and bush, animals the deserts the sea and the sky, it is one of the things that truly connects everything and all of us.

Gerard Black Artist Bio 

Gerard Black is a proud Worimi Man. After a 10 year career as a tattoo artist Gerard is now focusing on his paintings. His work reflects his deep connection to his Indigenous background, storytelling and his love of nature and draws on his strong design background from tattooing to produce a unique style of art. This together connects ancient Indigenous art with modern design and medium.

Gerard lives and works on Gulidjan and Wadawurrung County.

Framing I come framed in a natural, white and black box frame.

I am framed using ethically sourced timber.
